An introduction to Indian music and its rhythms, presented by the Annapurna Indian Dance company.

Indian vocalist and musician Sriranjini Simha will take you all on an enjoyable and accessible musical journey into the world of Indian music. She will be assisted by musician/dancer Anoohya Vishwanath.

The session will begin with a short demonstration of singing by both artists. There will be an introduction to the basic structure behind Indian RAGA and also popular rhythms used both in singing as well as dancing. This will be an interactive session and participants are given opportunities to join.
